Donald L Swander

Donald L. "Dink" Swander, 87, a resident of Valley View Home, went to be with the Lord on Thursday. He was the last born child of Jacob and Bessie Swander. He is survived by his wife, Lillian, three daughters, Ronna Wilson(Donald), Altoona, Tonda Denny(Dave), Tyrone, Bonnie Unfried of Concord, CA, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandson and a beloved sister, Bessie McGinnis. He was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. Dink was a graduate of Altoona High School and was an U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Friends will be received from 10am until 1pm Monday, October 1, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral service will be held at 1pm Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Ralph Hamer, officiating. Interment at Alto Reste Park Cemetery.
