George Fornari, 82, Altoona, died Wednesday morning at Altoona Regional. He was born in Nanty Glo, son of Joseph and Clara (Corle) Fornari. He married Judith A. Miller on Nov. 5, 1959, in Altoona. Surviving are his wife of 53 years; five sons: Randy (Tracy), George (Christy), James (Lisa), Alan (Terry) and Michael; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Leo (Sara) and Chuck (Irene); a sister, Rose Soflarsky (Ray); many nieces and nephews; and his dogs, Taz and Carson. George was a graduate of Altoona High School and retired from Ward Trucking as a janitor after 27 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, playing softball, horseshoes and poker and spending time with his family. Friends will be received from 9 until the 11 a.m. memorial service Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata.
