Edgar H Beecher

Edgar H. Beecher, 70, Altoona, died Saturday morning. He was born in Altoona, son of Edgar A. and Mae M. Beecher. He married Sandra L. Beecher on Jan. 22, 1977, in Altoona. Surviving are his wife of 35 years; a son, Donald A. and fiancee, Nicole Lilly, of Altoona; a granddaughter, Delaney A. Beecher of Altoona; a brother, William A. of Altoona; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Edgar was a graduate of Altoona High School. He retired as a machinist from Norfolk Southern in June 2002. He was a member of the Bavarian Aid Society and enjoyed bowling, fishing and golf. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, where a memorial service will be held at noon. www.maukandyates.com
