Marjorie R Laird

Marjorie R. Laird, 87, Altoona, died Monday at her home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William and Bertha (Fleck) Fochler. She married John Milton Laird January 29, 1947 in Altoona. He preceded her in death November 5, 1986. Surviving are 4 children: Carol Ann Davis of Altoona, Mary Vincent of Waynesburg, PA, John E. Laird of Altoona, and Kathleen Fozard of Maryland; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 sisters: Pat Shellenbarger of Altoona, Adelaide Fochler of Altoona, and Mary Sonefelt of Darby, PA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Laird. Marjorie was a homemaker. She enjoyed bingo, and was a member at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Friends will be received from 10 AM until Noon Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where a funeral service will be at Noon. Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
