Jeanette L. (Sis) Brown April 3, 1942 -- January 5, 2013 Jeanette L. (Sis) Brown, 70, of Altoona, died Saturday evening at Altoona Regional following a lengthy illness. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late David H. and Helen E. (Harshberger) Wilt. Surviving are three children, Richard Eckard of Altoona, Alice Ho(Mihn) of Houston Texas, Justine Glasgow of Avalon Road, eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, two sisters, Elaine Fayson (James), Altoona, Vergie Shannon(Franklin), of Altoona, and sister in law Audrey Wilt of Bellwood. She was preceded in death by two brothers, David A. Wilt and Franklin G. Wilt. During her working years, Sis worked as a nurses aide at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. She was a graduate of Altoona High School. Her hobbies included bingo, going to Taco Bell and spending time with her grandchildren. Friends will be received from 11am until 1pm Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral service will be held at 1pm Wednesday with Rev. Ralph Hamer, officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
