William N. Coltabaugh Jr., 84, formerly of Altoona, died Saturday at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. He was born in Altoona, son of the late William Sr. and Mabel (Melcher) Coltabaugh. On May 24, 1958, he married Shirley M. Wagner in Altoona. He is survived by his wife; children: Jeffrey P. Coltabaugh of Altoona, Maryann S. Keefer of Reedsville, Terry L. Coltabaugh of Atlantic Beach, N.C., John A. of Tyrone and Jennifer M. Miner of Jacksonville, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was a member of the former First United Methodist Church, Altoona. He was a 1947 graduate of Altoona High School. He worked as a cabinetmaker and estimator for the Modern Cabinet and Construction Company for 47 years. Mr. Coltabaugh served in the United States Naval Reserve, retiring from the reserves after many years of service. He was a member of the Portage Lodge F&AM. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday by Pastor Bradley Keefer. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
