Ronald L Filer

Ronald L. Filer, 69, Golden LivingCenter-Hillview, died early Tuesday morning at the center. He was born in Altoona, son of Pearl (Kerstetter) Filer and the late Charles L. Filer. He married Betty L. Cox, and she died May 3, 1978. Surviving are his mother of Altoona; three siblings: Ralph and wife, Julia, and Darlene Hollows and husband, Tom, all of Altoona, and Debbie Johnsonbaugh of Millersburg; three nieces; and two nephews. Ronald was a graduate of Altoona High School and retired from the Hollidaysburg Area School District Maintenance Department. He was a member of the Duncansville Kiwanis Club and enjoyed fishing, camping and country and western music. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, the Rev. Ralph Hamer officiating.
