Duane P. "Dutch" Nagle, 77, Altoona, died Tuesday evening at Altoona Regional. He was born in Altoona, son of Wilda (Cooper) Nagle and the late Stanley P. Nagle. He married Ruth E. Erickson on Jan. 10, 1957, in Altoona. Surviving are his wife; two sons: Duane P. Jr. and wife, Karen, of Flinton and Stanley A. and fiancee, Liz, of Altoona; four grandchildren: Duane P. Nagle III and wife, Heather, of Bellwood, Jeremy W. Nagle serving aboard the USS George H.W. Bush, Brandon S. Nagle at Camp Pendleton, Calif., and Amanda M. Nagle of Flinton; two great-grandsons: Mason and Caden Nagle; his mother; a brother, William J.; a sister, Cheryl Lykens; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Connie Allen and Maxine Plowman. Dutch was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He had been employed as a truck driver at Lafferty Trucking and retired from Estes Express Lines. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, Pastor Warren Yeager officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
