William K. "Bill" Bush, 88, Altoona, died Friday at his home. He was born in Antis Township, Blair County, son of the late William L. and Bertha E. (Farber) Bush. He married May Levina Farber on April 7, 1950, in Cumberland, Md. She preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 2010. Surviving are five children: Catherine L. Rose of Altoona, Karen A. Anderko of Altoona, Grace E. Yeager of Lone Tree, Colo., Mary Lou Dunkerley of Chelsea, Ala., and William C. (Wilbur) of Hermitage, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Thelma Deterline; and two brothers: Wilbur Bush and Raymond Bush. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Leroy, Samuel and Daryl Bush; and a sister, Dorothy Zeller. Bill retired as a truck driver for Cooper Jarett Co. of Hermitage, Pa. He was a 28-year member of Shenango Valley F&AM 810, Hermitage, the Valley of New Castle Consistory, and the Legion of Honor. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Bill was a member of Juniata United Methodist Church and enjoyed woodworking. He was a proud blood donor over the years of his life, having given 123 pints during his lifetime. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013, with a Masonic service at 6 p.m., at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April, 17, 2013, at Juniata United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or the Home Nursing Agency, Hospice Unit, 201 Chestnut Ave, Altoona, PA 16601.
