Gilbert H. Dandrea Jr., 74, Altoona, passed away early Saturday morning at Altoona Regional. He was born in Hastings, son of the late Gilbert H. Sr. and Olive (Durandetti) Dandrea. He married Karen Yohn on June 17, 1967. Surviving are his wife; two children: Daniel Dandrea and Dana Campagna and husband Michael, all of Altoona; two grandchildren: Kaylee and Anthony; three siblings: David, Diana Crawford and Deana Machiarola; numerous nieces and nephews; and a lifelong friend of 65 years, Ronald Spencer. He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel. Gilbert was a graduate of Altoona High School. He became a driver for ABF, retiring after many years of service. He was a member of Riggles Gap Sportsmens Club, the Teamsters Union and was affiliated with the Grace Brethren Church. Gilbert was interested in vehicles and was a car enthusiast. He also enjoyed walking and weight training. He especially loved special time with his grandkids. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata.
