Elda L Kobel

Elda L. Kobel, 87, Valley View Home, died Tuesday at the home. She was born in Greenwood, daughter of the late Judd R. and Rachel J. (Walters) Stehley. Surviving are five children: Twila Perkins, James S. Kobel Jr., Linda Smith, Kevin R. Kobel and Rodney G. Kobel, all of Altoona; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Cleeda Brennan, Reeda Fornbaucher and Lovella Barger. Elda retired in 1994 as a crew leader from the Altoona Hospital dietary department. She enjoyed puzzle books, reading, taking long walks and listening to classical music. Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
