Samuel B Hainsey

Samuel B. Hainsey, 76, Altoona, died Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Blair and Ethel (Sahler) Hainsey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra, whom he married in April 1982. Surviving are six children: Annette Ryan, Lisa Ruston, Samuel Hainsey Jr., Samera Hainsey, Tina Wendle and Renee Rhodes; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a grandchild. Samuel retired as an engineer from Conrail after 32 years of service. He had previously owned and operated the Double S Bar for 28 years with his wife. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
