Catherine Louise Trippler

Catherine Louise Trippler, 67, Altoona, died Saturday afternoon at her home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Mathias and Phyllis (Garland) Frank. She married William H. Trippler on March 29, 1974, in Frankstown. Surviving are her husband; a son, Troy of Blue Knob; a daughter, Ronda of Bakersfield, Calif.; and two sisters: Pat Wertz and Anna Kyle, both of Altoona. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Kyle and Dolores Jean Cope. Catherine was a graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School and was of the Methodist faith. She loved flowers, really enjoyed her two Labrador dogs, Rebel and Cooper, and her bunnies. She also loved traveling with her husband. At the request of the deceased, there was no viewing. A private service was held for the family at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, and interment was made at Blair Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hillman Cancer Center, UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside.
