Darrell Lee Grace Jr., 55, Altoona, died Friday at UPMC Altoona after an extended illness. He was born in Altoona, son of Shirley (Swanger) Grace and the late Darrell L.Grace Sr. Surviving are a son, Dylan; a stepdaughter, Nicole McFadden; his mother of Altoona; two sisters: Connie (Mike) McNelis of Bellwood and Tammy (Terry) Grabill of Altoona; a brother, Scott (Rae) of Altoona; and many nieces and nephews. Darrell was a 1975 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and was previously employed by D.L. Grace and Sons. He was a member of Wehnwood United Methodist Church. He enjoyed NASCAR races, woodworking, construction, spending time with his family and watching Dylan play baseball. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, the Rev. Brent Salsgiver officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks in memory of Darrell Grace Jr. for Team Cole Train.
