William L Oswalt

William L. Oswalt, 85, of Altoona, died Wednesday at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. He was born in Blue Knob, a son of the late Clarence J. and Hazel A. (Walters) Oswalt. He married Lorraine B. Stehley on April 11, 1968. She preceded him in death on October 30, 2002. Surviving are five children, Kathy Stewart of Waynesburg, Ohio, Donald Smith of Altoona, Gary Smith of Ashville, Dennis Smith of Allentown, Twila Myers of Altoona, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He graduated from Altoona High School in 1946 then enlisted in the Marine Corps for the remainder of World War II. He was a charter member of Grace Family Bible Church, Duncansville. He worked as an installer for Greenwood Swim Pool Company. Friends will be received from 10am until 1pm Saturday, October 19, 2013, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 1pm., with Rev. James A. Zaebst, officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
