Vera P. Lingafelt

Vera P. Lingafelt, 90, of Altoona, died Thursday at her home. She was born in Munster, Cambria County, a daughter of the late James S. and Magdalene (Willibrand) Knopp. She married Sylvester Lingafelt on October 15, 1949, in Loretto. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2003. Surviving are two sons, James P. and wife Nancy, of Milton, WVA, Thomas P. and wife Stacey of Altoona, one daughter, Cecelia Wilkinson and husband Garrett of Hickman, KY, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one on the way, two sisters, Myrtle Lilly of Cresson, Margaret Lee of Loretto and one brother, Joseph of Munster. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Beiswenger and Edna Boist. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday, November 3, 2013, at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Monday, November 4, 2013, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Juniata. Committal will be at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson.
