Christopher Patete

Christopher Patete, 61, of Hollidaysburg died Tuesday evening in Hollidaysburg. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Carmen J. & M. Catherine (Dempsey) Patete and married Ramona Gainvors. Surviving are three children; Dr. Dana L. Giarrizzi (Mark) in South Carolina, Daniel L. Patete (Marcia), in South Carolina, Douglas L. Patete (Tina), of Hollidaysburg, nine grandchildren, one sister, Sandra Hull in CA and a special cousin, Elizabeth Marky. Also surviving is fiance' Laurin Sheffy. Chris was a self employed businessman having owned and operated Sturdy Built, Mfg. He enjoyed woodworking and flying, but, his real joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was a graduate of Altoona High School and St. Francis University. He was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church, Newry. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Monday, December 2, 2013 at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 10 am Tuesday.
