William H Grassmyer

William H. Grassmyer, 71, of Juniata, went to be with the Lord, Sunday morning at UPMC, Altoona. Known as Billy G. he was born in Altoona, a son of the late Harold W. and Ruth Hetty (Smith) Grassmyer. He was twice married, first to Linda Reed who preceded him in death in April, 2000, then married Louanne C. (Mock). Surviving is his wife, three sons, Scott and family of Sarasota, FL, Kevin M. and family of Juniata, Chad and family of Millersburg, five grandchildren, three step children, Devon Wagner and family of Altoona, Sam Wagner and family in Idaho, Laura Beland and family in New York and one sister, Susan Hill of Escondido, CA. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nadya Brown in November, 2013. He retired as a driver for the Blair County Association for the Blind for over 25 years. His hobbies included camping. Billy G. was a very active member of the Home Association of the Bernard Albert Good VFW Post, Juniata. Friends will be received from 6-8 pm Wednesday, February 19, 2014, and from 10-11am Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where a funeral service will begin 11am Thursday, with Pastor George Sanders, officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
