Ruth M. Miller, 87, of The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg, died Thursday evening at the home. She was born in Juniata, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Knee) Stewart. She married Kenneth A. Miller, Sr., November 27, 1947, in Sunbury. He died April 21, 2008. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth E. Brubaker, wife of Robert, and Susan M. Miller, both of Juniata; three sons, Harry E. and wife, Carolyn, of Juniata, Dennis L. and wife, Sue, of Altoona, and Michael A., and wife, Agatha, of Yulee, FL; one daughter-in-law, Donnis R. Miller, of Juniata; 8 grandchildren, Kenneth Miller, III, of Harrisburg, Stephanie Miller, of Altoona, Christopher Miller, of Chelsea, MA, Tara Sitts, of Duncansville, and Amanda Henninger, Harry Miller, Jr., Crystal Miller, and Nichole Goheen, all of Altoona; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Helene Field, of Juniata; and one brother-in-law, Raymond E. Miller, and wife, Barbara, of Sunbury. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth A. Miller, Jr., three brothers, Thomas, John, and Russell; and four sisters, Margaret, Nora, Naomi, and Madeline. Ruth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Juniata, and enjoyed word search books and knitting. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014, and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., Juniata. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Elizabeth Hess officiating. Committal Services and interment will be held at Blair Memorial Park.
