Carol A Baum

Carol A. Baum, 75, Jersey Shore, PA, passed away late Sunday evening at her home. Formerly of Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Helen M. (Shawley) Westbrook. She married James F. Baum, September 21, 1963 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Cresson, PA. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Juniata, Froshinn, and Blair County Motorcycle Touring Club. She enjoyed Thursday Night Ladies Bowling, volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen with Sr. Paula DelGrosso and the Altoona Hospital, playing cards, motorcycle riding, playing drums with her band, and singing. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 sons: Mark (Kimberly) of Glen Saint Mary, FL, Terry (Tammy) of Jersey Shore, PA and Alan of Homer City, PA; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers: William Westbrook of Delaware and Ronald Lee Westbrook of South Carolina; and a sister-in-law, Deanna Westbrook of Delaware. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, PA and Thursday, June 26 from 10 to 11 am. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday. Pastor John Phillips officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
