Carol L. Wood

Shirley L. Wood, 86, of Juniata, died early Monday morning at UPMC, Altoona. She was born in Coraopolis, PA, a daughter of the late Charles L. and Harriet (Gillespie) Noll. She married Charles S. Wood on May 5, 1949 at Otterbein United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on December 13, 1995. Surviving is one daughter, Paula Moyer of Juniata, three sons, Dale of Altoona, Barry of Cape Cod, MA, Mark of Harrisburg, Donna Barr, Mathetta Blair and Charlene Graffius, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Nardelli. Shirley graduated from Altoona High School in 1945. She enjoyed crocheting and playing cards. She was a member of St. Lukes Episcopal Church. Interment was made at Alto Reste Park Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
