Maude E. Oakley, 94, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday in her home. She was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Floyde B. (Miller) Yohn. She married William J. Oakley, Jr. who preceded her in death on July 1, 1981. Maude was a 1938 graduate of Altoona High School, a homemaker and a member of the Juniata United Methodist Church. She dedicated her life to serving others. Surviving is a daughter: Diane E. Kelley of Altoona; three grandchildren: Tracy L. Detrich and husband Master Gunnery Sgt. Mark of Camp Lejeune, NC, Tammy L. Summers and Pastor Jeff of Holly Ridge, NC, and John W. Kelley IV of Altoona; and 5 great-grandchildren, Ariel D. Detrich, Victoria R. Detrich, Zachary T. Summers, Bethany G. Summers, and Timothy W. Summers all of NC. She was preceded in death by a son: Terry Robert; three sisters: Miriam Ritchey, Joyce Johnson, and Estella Crabtree; and a brother: Robert Yohn. Family and friends will be received Sunday, July 20 at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, July 21 at Juniata United Methodist Church, 808 N 4th Street, Altoona with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Brent Salsgiver officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
