Karen L Wisor

Karen L. Wisor, 61, of Altoona, went to be with the Lord on August 1,2014 after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born on January 15, 1953, in Philipsburg, daughter of the late Maurice and Doris (Hurley) Moore. She married Dennis C. Wisor on December 15, 1972, in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2011. Surviving are three children, Dennis Wisor and wife Kristel, Amy Graham and husband Ryan, David Wisor and wife Heather, six grandchildren, Kylee, Eli, Laighla, Delainey, Alecea, Lilyahna, honorary grandchildren Lundyn and Irelynn Treese, Paisley and Oakley Mollica, two brothers, Robert and William Moore, sister in law and brother in law, Carol and Robert Smith. Karen retired as a registered nurse from Altoona Hospital. Karen loved her kids and relished her role as "Grammy". She was happiest surrounded by her whole family making memories whether it was at the beach, around her pool or watching a Pittsburgh Steeler game. She was a graduate of Philipsburg High School and attended Fourth Street Church of God. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8pm Sunday August 3, 2014 at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., Juniata, and from 10-11am Monday August 4, 2014 at Fourth Street Church of God where a funeral service will be held at 11:00am, with Rev. Jon R. Neely, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Bob Perks Foundation, P. O. Box 313, State College, PA 16804.
