Charlotte L Benson

Charlotte L. Benson, 63, Altoona, passed away Thursday evening surrounded by family, after a brief battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Rita (Porta) Bucher. She married David Benson on September 3, 1970 in Altoona. Charlotte was a 1969 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School and was employed at UPMC-Altoona for the past 20 years. In addition to her husband; she is survived by two daughters; Susan Foust and husband Jason and Jennifer Paul; two sons: Scott and wife Melissa (Koller) and Jonathan; two granddaughters; seven grandsons; one sister: Cathy Bradfield and husband Larry; two brothers: Tom Bucher and wife Angela and Anthony Bucher. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Holley and a son, David Michael Benson. Family and friends will be received, Monday, October 20 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 21 at 11 AM at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 5715 Roselawn Avenue, Altoona. Father Christopher officiating.
