Clifford J. "CJ" Mock, Jr., 58, Shamokin, passed away early Thursday morning at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. He is the son of Betty L. (Reeseman) and the late Clifford J. Mock, Sr. He graduated from Penn State University in 1977 with a Bachelor's degree in Individual and Family Studies with an option in Childhood and Adolescent Development. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shamokin, PA and was employed by North Central Secure Treatment Unit as a counselor. He was a hardworking man who was committed to his job and acted as a good advocate for the kids he worked with. He was extremely supportive and influenced many in a positive manner. He was an avid Penn State fan, enjoyed sports and spending time with his son and family. He will forever be remembered as a good friend, fun loving guy with a kind heart. Surviving is his mother of Altoona; fiancé: Megan Gaydon; a son: Micah John; one grandson: Dylan Zimmerman; one brother: Joel D. and wife Pam of State College; two sisters: Sue Ellen Crain and husband Carlton of LaGrange, NC and Jennifer L. Mock of Altoona; four nieces: Alli Mock, Lindsey, Lydia, and Heidi Crain; two nephews: Austin Mock and Jason Crain; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. Family and friends will be received, Sunday, November 16 at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and Monday, November 17, from 10 until the 11 AM funeral service. Interment at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
