Evelyn E. "Evey" Holland

Evelyn E. "Evey" Holland, 83, Altoona, passed away early Sunday morning at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late George and Hilda (Bergstead) Blackie. She married John H. Holland on February 25, 1952 in Cumberland, MD who preceded her in death on April 17, 1988. She is survived by a daughter, Donna J. Mollica of Altoona; four sons: Wm. Dale Holland and wife Jayne, Keith Holland and wife Pam, Scott Holland, and Joseph Holland, all of Altoona; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; and five brothers: Ken, Wayne, Allen, John, and Robert Blackie, all of Altoona. She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Holland. Evey was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts, quilting, crocheting, and gardening. Friends will be received, Wednesday, April 1, from 6 to 8 PM at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata, where a funeral service will be held, Thursday, April 2, at 11 AM with Pastor Ralph Hamer officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
