Lynn Earl Laich, 90, Juniata, passed away Thursday evening at his home. He was born in Munson, PA, a son of the late Gottlieb and Verda (McCracken) Laich. He married Catherine "Marie" Weyandt, November 18, 1949 in Winchester, VA. In addition to his wife, Marie, he is survived by six children: Dean (Rosemary) Laich, Diana (Allen) Everhart, Lisa Smearman, Barbara (Rick) Cole-Cahill, Sandra (Brian) Musselman, and Carol (Gary) Winters; grandchildren: Delsha, Jeff, Janna, Mary, Dan, Lynn, Vicky, Amy, Ryan, Stephani, Amanda, Henry, Sarah, Emma, Leah, Mara, Mitch, and Megan; 25 great grandchildren; and a sister, Leta Veit. He was preceded in death by siblings: Leora, Alvera, and Carl; and son-in-laws: William R. Smearman and Henry S. Cole, III. Lynn was a 1942 graduate of Altoona High School, attended Harvard University for two years, and retired as a foreman from Penn Jacobson. He was member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the American Legion, VFW, and the Bavarian. He is a WWII Veteran and served in France. He enjoyed camping and gardening. Friends will be received, Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata, and Monday, June 15, 2015 from 10 until 11 AM funeral service at Trinity Lutheran Church, 408 N 6th Street, Juniata with the Reverend Elizabeth Hess officiating.
