Lawrence L. Garman

Lawrence L. Garman, 94, Altoona, passed away early Monday morning. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Elmer and Alta (Wiley) Garman. He was twice married, first to Betty M. Garman, who preceded him in death on January 23, 1980 and to Ada C. (Grove) Garman, who also preceded him in death. He is survived by a son, Ronald Garman, of Nashua, NH; and two grandchildren: Scott, of Portland, OR and Lisa, of Nashua, NH. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Fahr. Lawrence was an Altoona High Graduate and retired after 40 years of service as an Electrician from Conrail. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Altoona, and formerly attended Altoona Bible Church, his favorite hymn is Face to Face with Christ My Savior. He was an Air Force Veteran and served in the 922nd Military Police. Friends will be received, Monday, July 6, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM at the Altoona Bible Church, 3017 Union Avenue, Altoona, 16602, where a funeral service will be held, Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11 AM with the Rev. Stewart McClelland officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
