David Allen Barger

David Allen Barger, 64, Altoona, passed away Friday afternoon at his home. He was born in Altoona, son of William and Patricia (Withers) Barger. He married Rebecca "Becky" Edwards, September 30, 1972 in Altoona. In addition to his parents and wife, Becky, he is survived by four children: Scott and wife Hailey of Warsaw, IN, Kimberly Barger Maxwell and husband Scot, of Ponte Vedra, FL, Jennifer Barger, of Winona Lake, IN, and Adam and wife Danielle, of Williamsburg, VA; thirteen grandchildren: Jacob, Noah, Caroline, Megan, Abigail, Logan, Eva, Kaci, Raelyn, Sophia, Ruby, Charlotte, and Violet; two brothers: Robert and wife Rose, of Johnstown and William and wife Jill, of Bethesda, MD. David was a 1968 graduate of Altoona High School and received his Master's in Business Administration from Penn State University. He attended Faith Baptist Church and was involved in the Miracle Book Club, a teen ministry for over 15 years. He was an accomplished businessman and entrepreneur. Friends will be received, Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 10 until the 11 a.m. memorial service at Faith Baptist Church, 315 40th Street, Altoona, PA 16602 with Pastor Scott Barger and Pastor Gary Dull officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at Martinsburg Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dale and Ethel Baker, Baptist New Church Mission, 1101 124th Street East, Bradenton, FL 34212.
