Ronald E. McMillan

Ronald E. McMillan, 76, Altoona, passed away early Wednesday morning at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Wilbur and Nora (Stewart) McMillan. He married Marian P. McGeary, March 19, 1960 in Altoona. In addition to his wife, Marian, he is survived by six children: Ronald E., Jr., of Altoona, Tammy Poplardo and husband Nicholas, of Vineland NJ, Chris and wife Brenda, of Millville, NJ, Randy, of Altoona, Jeff and wife Donna, of Delaware, and Shawn, of Altoona; eight grandsons; three granddaughters; three great grandchildren; two sisters: Karen Zelner, of Enola and Sharon Horning, of Mechanicsburg; and three brothers: Edward, of Enola, James, of Landisburg, and Darrell, of Mechanicsburg. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur, Jr. and Kenneth. Ronald was a 1958 graduate of Altoona High School and retired from Kerr Glass Manufacturing Company as an electrician. He was a member of the VFW Post 0424 and Fraternal Order of Eagles #1859, and volunteered for the Estell Manor Volunteer Fire Company in Milmay, NJ. He was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed bowling and hunting. Friends will be received, Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and Monday, July 20, 2015 from 10 until the 11 AM funeral service at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata, with the Reverend Ben Warfel officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Moutaindale Baptist Church.
