Larry R. Mauk

Larry R. Mauk, 68, St. Petersburg, Florida, formerly of Altoona, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday afternoon at his home in Florida following a brief illness. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Richard D. and Lois E. (Kochenderfer) Mauk. He married Connie Frazier on September 13, 1969. Surviving are his wife; a son, Larry R., Jr. and wife Liz; a daughter, Dawn R. Benz and husband Darrell; four grandchildren: Brandan and Brittany Benz and Madyson and Anthony Mauk, all of St. Petersburg, FL; a sister, Sherry Bennett and husband Rell, of Trenton, FL; a brother, Robert A. and wife Sherry, of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews. Larry retired on April 18, 2010 from Mauk and Yates Funeral Home after more than 28 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and was an avid Florida Gators fan. Larry had an infectious sense of humor and he will be missed by all who knew him, including his Cocker Spaniel, Princess. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family in Florida.
