William H. Harding, 80, of Altoona, died Saturday at UPMC Altoona.
He married Donna Carter on Sept. 29, 1954, and they enjoyed 61 years together.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Cindy Hollingsworth and fiancé, Leroy Dively Jr.; five grandsons: Timothy Harding Jr. and wife, Audra, Jesse Hollingsworth Sr. and wife, Krista, Scott Harding and wife, Laura, John Ruckinger and Joshua Marlette; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandsons; three brothers: Jay Jr., Don and Robert; three sisters: Virginia, Dianne and Barb; and the fiancée of his late son, Connie Marlette.
He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Sr.; two brothers: James and John; and three sisters: Carol, Nancy and Judy.
Bill was previously employed as a truck driver and had belonged to Teamsters Unions 110 and 453 prior to retirement.
He enjoyed wildlife and the outdoors, including hunting, shooting pool, riding motorcycles and ATVs, and watching sports. He treasured time with his family, including his great-grandson, Jesse Jr., whom he taught to play poker.
Per Bill's request, there will be no viewing or funeral service. A private family gathering will be held at the convenience of the family.
