Charles W. Graffius, 76, Altoona, passed away Thursday morning at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Berman Claire and Mary Catherine (Walter) Graffius. He married Kathleen M. Hughes in 1960 in Altoona.
In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by three daughters: Stacey Miller and husband, Timothy of Altoona, Lisa Filler and husband, William of Hollidaysburg, and Susan Hippo of Altoona; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
He was the last living member of his family and he was preceded in death by his siblings: Betty Jane Edwards, Joyce Kerstetter, Joan Bryner, and Robert Graffius. He was also preceded in death by a son, William Robert and a son-in-law, Jeffrey Hippo.
Charles was owner of Charles Graffius Plaster and Drywall and was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church.
He was a member of the Juniata VFW, Elks Lodge 976 where he served as Exhaulted Ruler, Huntington, Jaffa Shriners of Altoona, Logan Lodge No. 490, F & A.M. Masonic Temple and Hilltop Hunting Camp, Huntington.
He enjoyed baseball, softball, fishing, hunting, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and was a DJ “Chubby Chucker”.
Friends will be received, Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 1 until the 4 p.m. memorial service at Mauk and Yates Funeral, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata.
