Hazel M. Burket, 93, Marengo, OH, formerly of Hickory Street, Hollidaysburg, passed away late Thursday evening at Bennington Glen – Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marengo, OH.
She was born in Cassville, Huntingdon County, a daughter of the late Karl and Anna Mae (Conrad) Stever. She married Charles O. Burket, Jr. on August 28, 1940 in Fostoria, OH. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1996.
She is survived by two sons: Karl D. and wife Rose of Payette, Idaho and Timothy J. and wife Cheryl of Cardington, OH; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a special nephew, Harold (Corky) Burket; and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary E. Bice; two brothers: John and Maurice Stever; and a daughter-in-law, Cecilia Burket.
Hazel attended school at Cassville, PA and graduated from the Altoona Bible Institute in 1973. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, serving the church as a teacher and Child Evangelism Fellowship.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata, and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service, Wednesday, February 10, 2016 with Pastor Ron Anderson officiating. Interment at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
