Raymond J. Nagle, 62, Altoona, passed away late Tuesday evening at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Altoona, son of Irvin W. and Martha J. (Swope) Nagle. He married Helen T. Claar first on September 14, 1996 at the All Faiths Chapel, Penn State Altoona and renewed their vows on December 22, 2007 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
In addition to his wife of 19 years, he is survived by step daughter, Theresa Elliot of Altoona, step grandson, Dalton Claar of Altoona, his mother, Martha of Golden Living Hillview, sister, Carrol Miller of Altoona, and brother, Robert A. of Smethport.
He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin, brothers, William and Harold, and sister, Madeline Lundgren.
Raymond worked as a laborer in metal fabrication and also worked for Skills.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, the Bavarian Aid Society, Concordia Hall and the Bellwood Eagles. He was a former member of the Altoona VFW Auxiliary. He was also a roadie for bands in the Altoona area.
Friends will be received, Friday, February 26, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata, 16601, where a prayer vigil will be held. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 806 11th Street, Altoona, 16602. Committal at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Loretto.
