Nancy Lou Wright, 78, Altoona, passed way Saturday afternoon at her home.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late James O. and Evelyn (Green) Staley. She married Maurice E. Wright on August 7, 1978 in Winchester, VA.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 37 years; four children: Timothy Mark Walker (Tonya), Joan Strum, Shawn Patrick Walker, and Jamie Lynn Walk (Scott), all of Altoona; three grandchildren: Mark, Tommy, and Ashley; four great grandchildren: Alyssa, Dylan, Taylor, and Cayleb; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Snyder on May 2, 1997; an infant son, Scott Wright; a sister, Joan Hoover; daughter-in-law, Tangia Jean Walker; and a grandson, Scott Matthew.
Nancy was a 1955 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a homemaker and worked as a notary for her husband’s construction business.
She was a member of Wehnwood United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, shopping, and spending time with her family.
A gathering of friends will be held, Friday, April 15, 2016 from 5 until the 6 p.m. memorial service at the Wehnwood United Methodist Church, 2511 Juniata Gap Road, Altoona, PA 16601. Pastor Evelyn Madison officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wehnwood United Methodist Church.
