Harold K. "Ken" Rutter
May 14, 1927 — June 3, 2016
Harold K. "Ken" Rutter, 89, of Sinking Valley, died peacefully Friday afternoon, June 3, 2016, at his home. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late William and Cleo (Chamberlain) Rutter. He married Vivian Long on March 8, 1946 in Altoona. She preceded him in death on October 5, 2003.
Surviving are three children: two daughters; Michelle Rutter Tate and Yvonne Rutter, one son Dana Rutter, all of Altoona.
He retired from local Pipefitters Union #354 where he was a plumber/pipefitter. Mr. Rutter served in the Marine Corps during WWII. He was a 1947 graduate of Altoona High School.
Ken loved hunting, fishing, boating and camping and especially loved spending time with his family.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2016 with Rev. Ralph Hamer, officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood with Military Honors.
