Archie C. Buchanan, Jr.

Archie Campbell Buchanan, Jr., 68, Irvona, passed away early Thursday morning at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in DuBois, son of the late Archie C. Buchanan, Sr. and Ada Jane (Hale) Dixon. He married Susan Jane Buchanan on November 23, 1970. She preceded him in death on September 15, 2009.
He is survived by three children: James B. and fiancé Heather Kozlov of Altoona, Jessica R. Gray of Irvona, and Stephanie V. Ertwine of Altoona; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Hannah Mary Bagley and a son-in-law, Douglas Ertwine.
Archie retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service. He was a Vietnam War Veteran.
Friends will be received Monday, June 27, 2016 from 10 until the noon funeral service at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, 16602. Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
