Robert E. Yon

Robert E. “Bob” Yon, 80, Altoona, passed away Tuesday evening at Graystone Manor at Bellmeade.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Robert and Charlotte (Calderwood) Yon.
He is survived by two daughters: Nancy Roseberry and husband John of Tyrone and Carrie Sacchetti and husband Paul of Warrington; and seven grandchildren: Jessica, Ginny, Doug, Ashley, Rachel, Angela, and Emily.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Romano and a brother, William Yon.
Bob was a 1953 graduate of Altoona High School and was previously manager at Holiday Bowl.
He served in the United States Marine Corps.
He enjoyed golf - having been a charter member of Sinking Valley Country Club, bowling, and softball.
Friends will be received Friday, July 1, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, 16601.
