James Lee Lansberry, 69, Altoona, passed away Wednesday evening at his home.
He was born in Clearfield County, son of Albert and Betty Lou (Williams) Lansberry. He married Karen McCaulley on June 10, 2002 in Altoona.
In addition to his wife of 14 years, he is survived by three daughters: Pamela, Jamie, and Jennifer Lansberry; a step-son, Jeffery Nail; eight grandchildren: Allyssa, Sierra, Ashton, Jaiden, JJ, Darrien, Jett, and Sophia; one sister, Betty Conklin; and five brothers: Ray, Glenn, Bill, Tracy and Jody Lansberry.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Lansberry.
James served in the United States Army for 20 years attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. During his service, he received the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry.
He worked as a long haul truck driver for various companies and enjoyed camping.
Friends will be received Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Pastor Lou Hileman officiating.
