Pauline A. Schirf, 91, Altoona, died Sunday afternoon at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Edward E. and Josephine (Eckenrode) Schirf.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Vincent Schirf, Herbert Schirf Sr. and Regis Schirf; and two sisters: Esther M. Rickabaugh and Gertrude Derrick. She was the last surviving member of her family.
After graduating from Altoona High School, Pauline worked and retired as an operator for Bell Telephone Company after many years of service. She loved to play pinochle.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata.
