David W. Orner, 85, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior at UPMC Altoona on Saturday.
He was born in Altoona, son of Linden and Alice (Lohr). He and his wife Joan (Hamler) treasured 65 years of marriage.
David graduated Altoona Area High School in 1949 and attended LeTourneau University. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict where David was awarded the distinguished Combat Infantry Badge.
Dave was a salesman at Wilcox and in 1972, went into business at Blair Honda with his brother-in-laws. He was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife Joan and two sons from Altoona: Gary and his wife Melissa, and Scott.
During retirement, he enjoyed volunteering at the Altoona hospital for several years. He also loved traveling to Florida with his beloved wife and relatives.
At Dave’s request, there will be no viewing or service.
