Marjorie E. Walker

Marjorie E. Walker, 82, Altoona, formerly of Juniata Gap, passed away early Thursday morning at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Heinrich and Cecile (Blumlein) Dunnenberger. On October 2, 1954 she married Harry C. Walker, Jr. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2014.
Marjorie is survived by three children: Susan Harrison and husband Philip of New Castle, PA, Scott Walker of Altoona, and Stephanie Badorrek and husband Harry “Cub” of Altoona; four grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; and two sisters: Barbara Fountain of NC and RoseMarie Lavelle and husband Pat of Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Dunnenberger.
Marjorie was a 1952 graduate of Altoona High School. She worked as a customer service representative for Jubilee stores.
She was a member of Altoona Alliance Church and was very active in the church. She taught children’s Sunday school for many years.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 until the 1:30 p.m. funeral service Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Altoona Alliance Church, 3220 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602. Pastor Tim McGarvey officiating. Interment will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Great Commission Fund of Altoona Alliance Church, 3220 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
