Marilyn J. Duncan, 92, of The Village at Morrison Cove, died Thursday morning.
She was born in Scotdale, PA, a daughter of the late George R. “Ray” and Anna H. (Mosch) Moore. She was twice married, first to William H. Houseman, who preceded her in death in 1963; then to James R. “Pete” Duncan, who preceded her in death in 2000.
Mrs. Duncan is survived by three grandsons: Kenneth W. Houseman, Sr., of Port Jervis, NY, David J. Houseman, of Avon, IN, and Robert Houseman, of Altoona; two great grandsons: Kenneth W. Houseman, Jr., of Middletown, NY, and Cameron M. Houseman, of Port Jervis, NY; a step-son, Timothy R. Duncan, of Hollidaysburg; a step-granddaughter, Lindsay Duncan, of San Diego, CA; and five step-grandsons: Michael Duncan, of Dallas, TX, and Patrick, Brian, Kevin, and Mark Duncan, all of York, PA.
She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond C. Houseman, and a stepson, Patrick Duncan.
Mrs. Duncan was a member of Bruton Parish Church, Williamsburg, VA, where she was a dedicated volunteer following her retirement. She was a docent, giving tours of the church, answered calls to the Parish House, and was one of the original volunteers for the Bruton Parish Gift Shop where both she and her husband, Pete, spent many dedicated hours.
She retired from Systems Exploration, San Diego, CA as a financial manager. She was a 1942 graduate of Altoona High School and a graduate of Altoona School of Commerce/Zeth School of business.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 24, 2017, at Bruton Parish Church, Williamsburg, VA, with The Rev’d Christopher L. Epperson, officiating. Interment will be at Bruton Parish Church Cemetery, Williamsburg, VA.
