Myrna Nail, 79, Altoona, passed away Monday morning at her home.
She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Clyde A. and Freda J. (Thomas) Nail.
Myrna is survived by a brother, Edward T. Nail (Ruth) of Tyrone; eleven nieces and nephews: Theresa Wilt (Ed) of Bellmeade, Gladys Zeak (Tom) of Sinking Valley, Cydene Nail of Bellwood, David Lance of Duncansville, Gloria Boggs (Kevin) of Altoona, Anna Wilt (Sam) of Altoona, Richard Lance (Brenda) of New Castle, PA, Edward Nail, Jr. (Meg) of Tyrone, Robert Nail (Jean) of Illinois, Scott Nail (Tamey) of Altoona, and Melissa Irvin (Mark) of Florida; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Myrna was a graduate of Altoona High School and worked as a sales associate for Bon Ton and Avon.
She was a member of Juniata Church of the Brethren where she was active in the church. She served as church treasurer and Sunday school superintendent for many years. She was also active with the vacation bible school.
Myrna was a family person and enjoyed plastic canvas art and reading. Having no children of her own, she took care of her nieces and nephews as they were her own.
Friends will be received from 4 until the 6 p.m. funeral service at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, on Thursday, February 16, 2017. Pastor G. Robert Wharton officiating. Interment will be made at Asbury Cemetery, Altoona.
