Donna Marie Chamberlain

May 6, 1946 — March 21, 2017

Donna Marie Chamberlain, 70, Altoona, passed away early Tuesday morning at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Altoona, a daughter of Donald E., Sr. and Mary (Misciagna) Carnell.  On July 12, 1969, she married Thomas F. Chamberlain at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Juniata.  He preceded her in death on June 30, 2004.

Donna is survived by her mother, Mary; two children: Tanya A. McCormick (Kevin) of Altoona and Scott A. Chamberlain (Cheryl) of Mtn. Home AFB, ID; a granddaughter, Jordan T. McCormick; two grandsons: Trenton S. McCormick and Dylan T. Chamberlain; a brother, Donald Carnell, Jr. (Dianne) of Hollidaysburg; and a nephew, Donald Carnell, III.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald.

Donna is a 1964 graduate of Waynesville High School, Waynesville, Missouri.  She worked in the purchasing department for Puritan.

She enjoyed serving as a volunteer at Altoona Hospital/UPMC-Altoona.  She also served as an active member of the Keith Junior High School and Altoona Area High School Band Parent Associations.

D
onna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and daughter.  She brought joy to others through her beautiful disposition and kindness.

Friends will be received from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you honor her memory with a donation to the American Cancer Society, Hollidaysburg.
