Thomas E. Wolfe, Jr., 71, loving husband and father, Altoona, passed away Sunday at his home.
He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Thomas E., Sr. and Susan (Feathers) Wolfe. On September 23, 1967, he married Sarah J. Campbell.
In addition to his wife of almost 50 years, he is survived by a daughter, Julie A. Lerch and husband Chuck, of Altoona and a sister, Susan Mock and husband Bob of Hollidaysburg.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles.
Tom was a graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School and a graduate of Barber School. He was self-employed and owner/operator of Tom Wolfe’s Barbershop for many years.
He was a member of Mardorf United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing golf and watching dirt track racing. He especially enjoyed vacationing with his family at Rehobeth Beach and spending time with his family.
He served in United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, 16601 and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Friday, July 7. Pastor James House officiating. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona with military honors.
