Joyce Ann David, 85, Altoona, died Friday afternoon at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.
She was born in Altoona, the only child of Clyde W. and Isabel (Krause) Beatty. She married Harry T. David on July 4, 1953, in Altoona.
She is survived by her husband of more than 64 years, three children: Bonnie Green and husband Bert, Altoona, Jeff David and wife Sherry, Altoona, Melissa David-Bailey and husband Raife, Huntingdon; seven grandchildren: Mandy McManus, Summer Tomlinson, Ryan David, Justin David, Ira Bailey, Finn Bailey, Holden Bailey; and six great grandchildren.
She was a 1949 graduate of Altoona High School and over the years, she had worked for various companies including Harleysville Insurance Co., Wilts Florist, the New Idea Co., and Garfield Elementary School.
Joyce was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She loved her swimming pool and really enjoyed spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Drew McCaffrey, officiating. Interment will be made at Alto Reste Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
