Jacob T. McCormick, 21, Duncansville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 5, 2017 as a result of a tragic accident while kayaking on Lake Ontario.
He was born in Altoona, a son of Timothy and Stacie (Fay) McCormick. On May 28, 2016 he married Johanna Carls.
He is survived by his wife, Johanna; his parents of Duncansville, PA; his twin brother, Nathaniel; two sisters: Sarah and Katie McCormick; paternal grandparents, John and Kathy McCormick; maternal grandparents, Kevin and Lillian Reynolds; and his mother and father in law, Amy and Edward Carls.
Jacob was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Altoona. He worked at the McLanahan Corporation in Hollidaysburg. He was a graduate of Blair County Christian School in Duncansville, PA.
Jacob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking and camping. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed his job in the foundry. He was strong in his faith, loved the Lord and passionately discipled the youth of Calvary Baptist Church.
A visitation will be held from 10 until the 2 p.m. funeral service on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church, 810 Ruskin Drive, Altoona, PA 16601. Pastor Ronald Anderson officiating. A private interment will be held at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Circle C Ranch, 10451 Ashcroft Rd, Delevan, NY, 14042.
