Martin C. Banks, 84, Altoona, died early Thursday morning at his home from a valiant struggle with myasthenia gravis.
He was born in Altoona, and was adopted by Rev. Martin and Mary Banks.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Hoover Banks; three sons: Randy (Amy), Tim (Tara), and Rick (Michelle); a daughter-in-law, Joan; 10 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Martin, Jr. and two sisters: Betty and Mary.
He was an Army Veteran and an award winning carpenter working at J.C. Orr for over 40 years.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or service. Interment will be made at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
